Dianne Chipps Bailey Named to N.C. Center for Nonprofits’ CEO Advisory Council

Dianne Chipps Bailey has been named to N.C. Center for Nonprofits’ CEO Advisory Council.

“Dianne has been involved firsthand in the work of the N.C. Center for Nonprofits for many years. We deeply appreciate her engagement and knowledge, and we are honored that she is serving on the CEO Advisory Council,” said N.C. Center for Nonprofits President Jane Kendall.

The N.C. Center for Nonprofits serves as an information center on effective practices in nonprofit organizations, a statewide network for nonprofit board and staff members and an advocate for the nonprofit sector as a whole. The CEO Advisory Council helps the Center forge strong relationships with businesses and foundations. It is made up of business leaders who share their expertise and advice to strengthen essential partnerships between business, public and nonprofit sectors. Robinson Bradshaw has been a Sustainer of the Center since 1996.

As head of the Nonprofit Organizations and Foundations practice group at Robinson Bradshaw, Bailey provides counsel to nonprofit organizations in all aspects of their operations. She represents schools and universities, churches and other religious organizations, endowments, corporate and family foundations, museums, business leagues, social clubs, fraternal organizations, trade organizations and a wide array of charitable groups.

Bailey serves on a number of nonprofit boards, including Women Executives, Women's Collective Giving Grantmakers Network and Discovery Place, Inc. She previously chaired the boards of Women’s Impact Fund, Presbyterian Hospital Foundation, Mecklenburg Bar Foundation and First Presbyterian Church Diaconate, where she also served as an Elder. Bailey has raised funds and other support for Girls on the Run of Charlotte and Carolina Breast Friend’s Pink House.

Bailey earned her law degree cum laude from Georgetown University and her bachelor’s degree with high honors from the University of California, Berkeley.
