Jonathan C. Krisko Selected for Charlotte Business Journal’s ‘40 Under 40’

Jonathan C. Krisko, an attorney with Robinson Bradshaw, has been selected for the Charlotte Business Journal’s 19th annual ‘40 Under 40,’ an award recognizing young professionals in the Charlotte area each year for outstanding leadership, notable achievements and tireless contributions to the community.

Krisko practices in the firm’s litigation department and represents clients in a variety of matters and complex disputes, with a focus on intellectual property and other commercial disputes, as well as matters involving the firm’s sports and entertainment clients. He joined Robinson Bradshaw in 2003 and was elected a shareholder in 2010.

Krisko regularly contributes pro bono legal work to charitable organizations, and provides pro bono representation to victims of domestic violence and indigent tenants in landlord-tenant disputes. He is a member of Leadership Charlotte, Class XXXIII, and the 2007 Mecklenburg County Bar Leadership Institute.

Krisko serves as a member of the board of directors of Justice Initiatives, a Charlotte nonprofit organization that advocates for the support and reform concerning issues of justice in our local courts. Krisko is also a member of the board of directors of the Mecklenburg County Bar. In addition, Krisko is and has been a youth sports coach in Myers Park Trinity Little League, at the Dowd Family YMCA and in the Metrolina Ministries Sports League.

Krisko earned his law degree with high honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif and elected editor-in-chief of North Carolina Law Review. He received his bachelor of arts from Duke University.

Following graduation from Duke, and prior to enrolling in law school, Krisko was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Navy, serving as a division officer on the USS Mitscher, a naval destroyer supporting U.S. and NATO operations in Europe and the Middle East. He later served as operations officer for the USS Whirlwind, a special warfare patrol craft, involved in naval special warfare and counter-narcotics operations.
