Two Attorneys Named ‘IP Stars’

June 25, 2013

Robinson Bradshaw, one of the Carolinas’ leading corporate and commercial law firms, has been recommended as a ‘Tier 1’ firm by Managing Intellectual Property, the leading source for news and analysis of intellectual property developments worldwide. Robinson Bradshaw attorneys Robert M. Bryan and Stokely G. Caldwell Jr. were named ‘IP Stars’ and recommended for their experience in commercial matters and IP law.

The rankings were published in the Managing Intellectual Property Handbook, now in its 20th edition and covering more than 80 jurisdictions. The IP Handbook compiles rankings from its annual World IP Survey, which involves extensive research among IP practitioners carried out over a period of six months. Because responses are compiled from thousands of practitioners, the World IP Survey is considered the most comprehensive and authoritative of its kind.

Robinson Bradshaw’s IP practice is unique in that it focuses almost exclusively on providing advice and counseling to clients. The firm represents clients in commercial and transactional IP matters, including acquisitions, joint ventures, development agreements and licenses. Notable clients have included Richard Petty Motorsports, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment.

Bryan and Caldwell were both recommended in the licensing and counseling areas of IP law. In addition, Bryan was recommended in the area of copyright law and Caldwell was singled out for his experience in sports and entertainment law, specifically in the motorsports industry.
