Law Students

Our goal is to let you see what it is like to be a lawyer in our firm. From the work that you will do to the integration you will experience during our department lunches, training sessions and after-hours activities, we try to make your summer experience as close as possible to that of a new associate. You will enjoy challenging projects involving significant interaction with clients and other attorneys. You will observe trials, negotiations, closings and depositions. During the summer, we encourage you to work in different substantive areas of the law and to participate in pro bono  activities.

We also recognize the importance of getting to know our summer associates on an individual basis during the summer. Our after-hours activities are geared to be less formal and more personal events. Examples of past summer events are:

  • Small dinners at attorneys' homes
  • Interactive cooking classes at a local chef’s kitchen
  • Weekly softball games
  • Dinner/beer tasting following a flat-water evening kayak trip
  • Volleyball and cookout
  • Par-three golf tournament for summers and associates
  • Progressive dinners

During your time with us, we also assign you two mentors to help with advice and support.

To apply for our summer program, go to our campus recruiting calendar to see if we will be conducting interviews at your school. If your school is not listed, please send or email a cover letter, resume and law school transcript to:
