Mr. Beattie has a broad practice in the area of general corporate and commercial law. He has represented public and private companies, private equity firms, borrowers and financial institutions in various merger, acquisition and financing transactions, and regularly assists companies with the drafting and negotiation of a wide range of commercial contracts.
Mr. Beattie’s corporate practice has recently included a particular focus on the health care field. He advises clients on federal and state regulatory issues, including the federal Stark law, and commercial contract matters. He has also represented hospitals, physician groups and other health care providers in merger, acquisition and other integration transactions.
Mr. Beattie is also a member of our construction practice group. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as a project engineer and assistant project manager for Bovis Lend Lease, a leading global provider of general contracting and construction management services. He advises owners, developers and contractors on matters including contract preparation, mechanics liens, and claims and disputes.
