Our firm’s economic development practice draws upon both extensive knowledge about available economic incentives in North and South Carolina and a broad range of general corporate and commercial experience. We integrate our experience in the field of economic development law with our firm’s knowledge of all areas of the relocation process. We also work closely with our clients’ senior managers to negotiate incentive, financing and relocation packages that maximize available benefits and achieve our clients’ overall objectives.
Our lawyers have experience with every facet of the relocation process, including business organization and structuring, real estate acquisition and development, financing, environmental compliance and permitting, tax matters, joint venture arrangements, intellectual property, labor and employment matters, zoning, licensing and other local and state regulatory issues. Our lawyers’ experience also includes work at the highest levels of local and state government.
We have assisted clients operating in a variety of fields, including communications, pharmaceuticals, retail sales and distribution, equipment manufacturing and the textile industry with obtaining and negotiating favorable incentive packages with various local, county and state government entities.
