Outlook Web Access
Clicking this icon will launch Outlook Web Access (OWA), the web interface for Outlook. By allowing you to run Outlook as a web page, this application provides 2 benefits
over running the Citrix version of Outlook:
1. Outlook Web Access does not require that you install any special software on your PC. If you are using a computer where you cannot install the Citrix client (
such as a client office, or public web terminal), this application will let you view your Outlook data.
2. Since OWA sends only data across the Internet, it is faster than Citrix when using a dial-up connection. Citrix works by sending pictures of the Outlook screen
across the Internet to your PC, which consumes much more bandwidth than sending the text of a short email message, for example.
