Litigation

Robinson Bradshaw has one of the most highly regarded trial and appellate practices in North and South Carolina. Our lawyers have prosecuted and defended nearly every kind of business dispute, appearing before juries and judges in the state and federal courts, before arbitration panels, and before state and federal regulatory agencies. The firm's litigators routinely handle large and important litigation for our business clients in a broad range of industries and have developed a widely recognized expertise in handling complex litigation in a variety of substantive practice areas. In addition, several of the firm's lawyers have substantial experience in managing sensitive internal corporate investigations and in assisting clients in responding to governmental investigations and inquiries.

Our goal is to help clients resolve disputes advantageously and efficiently. Some disputes cannot be resolved without a trial. Others can be resolved through negotiation (although preparing for a trial is frequently necessary to establish a strong position.) Our starting point is gaining an understanding of our clients' needs, and then we examine the matters from a broad perspective and seeking solutions from both a legal and practical standpoint. Alternative dispute resolution and effective settlement strategies are central to our practice. We also counsel with our clients to minimize the potential for lawsuits and hold seminars for the purpose of alerting our clients to new judicial decisions and legislation that affect their operations and policies.
