Pearlynn G. Houck

Ms. Houck practices in the area of corporate and commercial litigation, focusing on tort and products liability litigation, construction, and employment and labor law. She has experience in matters involving fraud, breach of contract, unfair trade practices, financial products, loan syndications, breach of warranties, professional negligence, and general business disputes as well as various employment issues such as covenants not to compete, severance agreements, wage and hour claims, and employment discrimination claims.

Ms. Houck’s litigation experience includes preliminary injunctions and temporary restraining orders, dispositive motions, multiple jury trials, arbitrations before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and appeals in the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. She also has experience resolving disputes through mediation and prelitigation negotiations. 

Ms. Houck has also participated in multiple complex litigation matters involving electronic discovery issues. She has assisted clients in identifying their own sources of electronically stored information, as well as preservation and collection of electronically stored information for pending litigation.
