is and will continue to be fundamental to the mutual success of professional service firms and the clients they serve. Our substantial investment in
communication, legal research and resources, and document-management technology gives our lawyers an edge in
providing high-quality service with greater efficiency and security at a reduced cost.
Our technical expertise allows our lawyers to be linked together via a high-speed multimedia network that
enhances internal and external communication and improves individual effectiveness and productivity. Our network supports all levels of electronic
communications including E-mail, desktop facsimile services, instant messaging, voice mail, Web-based remote access, and secure document transmission.
Each lawyer's desktop computer provides access
to legal research tools, including Westlaw, Lexis, CD-ROM databases, numerous internet-based legal resources, and our own internal system of work product
libraries. These resources and the tools we have acquired and developed significantly reduce the time and effort required to create innovative and effective
solutions to client needs.
Additionally, we have developed and implemented customized document assembly and network document retrieval systems that facilitate more efficient preparation
of routine forms and complex legal documents. This technology also allows for the sharing of documents among lawyers who are working together in representing
a client.
The security of our systems and our clients' information is of utmost importance to us. In fact, our attention to system security resulted in a showcase article
in the computer industry publication Computer Reseller News.
We have invested heavily in technology such as:

- Internet connection firewall technology
- A proprietary secure document exchange system
We have installed a remote access server that provides easy Web-based access to our clients and co-counsel and enables
them to share our litigation support capabilities. It also allows us to host the document management function for large, document-intensive litigation matters.
Perhaps our most important technology asset is our team of technical services specialists. We believe we have assembled a remarkable team of technology
managers, technicians, and user support and training specialists who have the expertise and commitment to make technology serve the firm and our clients.
