Mr. Shaffer practices primarily in the areas of bankruptcy and civil and commercial litigation. He has experience representing creditors in bankruptcy cases, as well as experience in debtor-creditor disputes, claims for breach of contract, professional negligence actions, real estate litigation, and labor and employment matters. Mr. Shaffer also is actively engaged in the representation of non-profit organizations and foundations. He has experience advising non-profits on organizational and employment matters, the permissible use of proceeds of charitable trusts, and mergers and acquisitions in the non-profit sector.
